Tim has over fifteen years recruitment experience in both the UK and Melbourne markets and specialises in the areas of front and middle office banking, and accounting, risk and strategy recruitment across the financial and professional services and corporate sectors. He has worked on a wide range of executive search mandates with broader experience and expertise in talent pipelining, benchmarking, remuneration and competitive intelligence.
Tim established SMC Executive in 2009. He is the sole owner/Director of SMC Executive and manages the Melbourne office in addition to key client relationships and senior assignments in the Australian Market. Prior to this, Tim was a Partner in a specialist banking & finance executive search firm, where he set up and ran the Melbourne business for a number of years.
Previously, Tim was a Senior Executive at a publicly listed recruitment firm where he ran the
Accounting and Finance division whilst running executive search and selection assignments across the banking and finance sector and managing key client accounts. He began his recruitment career in London before returning to Melbourne in 2000 where he joined a global recruitment business specialisingin banking and finance.
Tim is married with three children and lives in Melbourne.
Stuart has over 25 years recruitment and search experience gained in London and Australia . As well as running his own business in both London and Australia, Stuart has worked for global publicly listed companies as well local boutiques firms specialising in the Financial Services sector.
With a demonstrated history in Risk Management, Stuart is passionate about
sourcing the best talent on a local, national and international basis for assignments across the Risk Management, Finance and Treasury, Security, Fraud, AML and Investigations, and Compliance sectors with additional experience within the Corporate and Institutional Banking, and Superannuation and Wealth/Funds Management sectors.
In addition to his experience within the Financial Services sector he has over 6 years’ experience in the Consumer and Industrial sectors recruiting at the Board, C-Suite and General Manager level for ASX Listed and Private organisations.

As the name suggests Advertised Search and Selection combines direct advertising (online and / or print) together with a more refined search process ensure appropriate market coverage in a defined timeframe. As with executive search it involves utilising our network to take informal views and opinions on suitable candidates in the market. We then combine this with utilising professional networking sites and online databases to identify and directly approach both active and passive candidates that will assist in broadening our reach.
